BC gets mention on cover of PROGMagazineUK
Big news!  The track, "Light Ages" from the new release is going on a sampler CD that will accompany the April edition of PROG magazine!  This magnificent edition features Rush, Marillion, Rodger Hodgson (Supertramp), Miles Davis, Spock's Beard and much more!  It is scheduled for release Wed April 17th in the UK.  BC fans stateside may have a bit of a wait, as no one is exactly sure how long this will take to 'cross the pond'.  Also, look very closely in the upper right corner!

                                New Release!

Blue Cartoon-Are You Getting On?
Now arriving on Track 13.  The new release from Blue Cartoon is finally here!  'Are You Getting On?'  is a 13 track joyride and while the train metaphor is fitting for the lengthy journey this takes, the band feels its more like "a ride in a 70's muscle car...but with state of the art stereo onboard!"  This is what happens when you put 10cc, Bowie, Roxy Music, T. Rex, Pink Floyd, Rundgren, and Yes in a blender and push 'mix well'.   Intrigued?  Take a ride!!

Reviews Pending

The band has already received several requests from various music journalists for copies of the new release. Reviews will be either linked to or included somewhere in this site.  So, come on back and see what others are saying!

Radio Americana

It's still early in the game, so we're not sure where and when domestic airplay will start.  What we do know is that our good friends at Radio New York International (RNI) have been playing advance cuts for over a month.  The band shipped advance copies to both Dave the Boogieman and Barry back in January, and several cuts have had consistent rotation since the first week!  There was also on on-air interview with Lee and Dave which was quite informative on their approach to 'AYGO?'

Radio Europe

Speaking or Europe, copies of AYGO? were shipped to several contacts in Europe in response to their inquiries. The stations are already playing existing tracks from the BC catalog and we may post those station IDs sometime in the near future.

Major Endorsement?!

An advance copy of 'AYGO?' was obtained by a major 70s' record producer over the holidays. It is reported that he thinks a great deal of it and may be submitting a written endorsement of some sorts. We are considering creating a section/page for fan comments of all BC releases. This would obviously be a sparkling jewel in that crown.

Line-up Change

Once again a line-up change has occurred. Following the completion of 'AYGO?', Terry Carolan left the band for personal, as well as professional reasons.  Fans of Terry's can catch up with him here   Unfortunately, personnel changes are as common as an over abundance of material with BC.  Still, they took it in stride and recruited Austinites Brendan Rogers on keys and Tim Winters for bass duties. This puts Lee Elliott back into the 2nd guitar slot and has simultaneously transformed the band into a very powerful 6 piece for their live presentations!  As an added bonus, both new members are also contributing vocally, which makes the harmonies even richer. However, while they will be playing a few select shows to support AYGO?, this is not your average touring band story.  In fact, ideas are already flying about and the new lineup is generating a lot of heat. They are expected to head back into the studio this summer to begin tracking on the next album. The band has promised it will not take 3 years until their next release.
